The George D. Widener Memorial Gold Medal was an award for sculpture established in 1912 by the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. The award recognizes the "most meritorious work of Sculpture modeled by an American citizen and shown in the Annual Exhibition".〔Catalogue of the annual exhibition, Volume 112 By Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts〕 Widener was a businessman and director of the Academy who died on the RMS Titanic.
